Hazuki, also known as Luna, is the main female protagonist of Tsukuyomi: Moon Phase.
Appearance[]
Hazuki appears as a young girl; Around 13 years of age. She has a preference towards cutesy clothing mainly lolita fashion. She is constantly seen in cat ears of some form; white being her color of choice. She has long purple hair that goes down her back with blunt bangs stopping just above her eyes and two face framing pieces of hair that extend to her bust. She has large blue eyes. She also has small fangs as she is a vampire. Throughout the anime and manga hazuki wears a variety of outfits such as a kimono, a white dress, and even casual clothing like a T-Shirt. She very rarely changes her hairstyle and when she does it is typically put into a ponytail with a large bow and her signature Neko-mimi. She also wears a locket that seems to be symbollic on wether or not luna or hazuki is present. It has a crescent moon on the front with blue blocking out the dark side of the moon and a new moon on the back with simply just blue. It has 5 red dainty gems adorning the bottom. The locket is on a silver chain.
The only difference between hazuki and luna is their eyecolor and the position of her locket.
Personality[]
Hazuki's personality is that of a spoiled, self-centered, selfish young girl. Despite this, she has been shown to adjust her personality around strangers in order to tip them in her favor, as she does early on with Kouhei's grandfather. However whenever Kouhei feels she’s gone too far, he will tell her off about her selfishness and make her seriously consider her behavior. Later on she becomes more caring, though she still has occasional bouts of temper.
Special Ability[]
Aside from the typical vampiric abilities, Hazuki is one of the few Daywalker vampires. She also has powerful telekinetic abilities.
Relationships[]
Kouhei Morioka[]
Kouhei and Hazuki meet when kouhei goes on a buisness trip to Germany to obtain pictures for a magazine. While there he sees her on the roof of castle Schwartzquelle. He comes back to the castle to meet her and subsequently rescue her from Count Heinrich von Kinkell and the castle. She bites him and makes him her "slave" however it doesnt work because Kouhei is an Ama Lamia; A Vampire's Lover. This frusterates Hazuki and the pair frequently butt heads, arguing at the drop of a hat. He believes hazuki to be a bratty child at first while hazuki views him as a stubborn moron. Over time Hazuki grows and learns and Kouhei becomes more understanding of her situation. As the series progresses the two become more romantically involved.
Ryuuhei Morioka[]
Ryuuhei and Hazuki get along very well. They both typically tease Kouhei . He is the one who invites hazuki to live with the Morioka family and is typically the one teasing them for being a couple. He in turn teases her ocasionally for being a "high matinence" girlfriend for kouhei. He knows quite a bit about spirituality and occasionally teaches hazuki lessons. He seems to be a stand in father figure for her.
Artemis/Arte[]
Artemis is Hazuki's younger half-sister. Their relationship begins later on in the series, very rocky at first because of Arte enviously trying to take Kouhei away from her or kill them both. But after Arte is taken into the household after the death of her guardian Vargas, Hazuki's relationship with her sister starts to change. After a while, Arte begins acting out in ways to make Hazuki mad in order to gain attention (including comically torturing Haji). However, after realizing the reasons behind Arte’s actions, Hazuki reconciles with her sister thus cementing their sisterly bond and their relationship progresses to the point of complete trust and love.
Trivia[]
- Hazuki's eyes turn violet after she drinks blood.
